And it was in that summer of 2004, during that democratic convention that Mrs. Dada and I suddenly sat up and looked at one another with curious suspicions as the network commentator's three words describing the young, unknown, keynote speaker as "looking very presidential" hit us. It was at that very moment our warning flags were hoisted. <br /><br />With time the reason for our trepidations was realized -- as so eloquently delineated here in this most thoughtful blog. Of course, it probably helps (grin) that you stood on the shoulders of some very tall men, i.e., Shakespeare, Lincoln, "Dad," Christopher Hedges and Reverend Wright (along with a small supporting cast of biblical proportions).<br /><br />Congratulations and many thanks for this most eloquent piece.
